Describe A bicycle/car/motorcycle trip

♻️ Retained🏃 Experiences

Describe a bicycle/motorcycle/car trip you would like to on.

You should say:

• Who you would like to go with

• Where you would like to go

• When you would like to go

• And explain why you would like to go by bicycle/motorcycle/car

You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes. You have 1 minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

The trip I have been fantasising about for well over a year is a motorcycle journey along the western section of the 318 National Highway from Chengdu to Kangding, and I plan to go with my older brother, who is an avid motorcyclist with over a decade of cross-country riding experience. I intend to set off in late May next year, when the high mountain passes have just thawed, wild rhododendrons are in full bloom along the route, and the monsoon season hasn’t yet kicked in, making road conditions ideal for riding. I opt for motorcycle travel for two key reasons. First, unlike private cars that often get stuck in congestion on narrow mountain bends, motorcycles are agile enough to navigate through slow-moving traffic and pull over at any unmarked vantage point to soak up panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and rolling alpine meadows. Second, riding a motorcycle delivers a deeply immersive experience, as I can feel the cool mountain wind on my skin, smell the scent of wild pine and grass, and chat with local herders at tiny roadside stops without the barrier of a car window. I’m already saving up for specialised riding gear, and I’m certain this trip will be an unforgettable adventure that pushes me far outside my comfort zone.
