Describe A happy event you organized
Describe a happy event you organized.
You should say:
• What the event was
• When you had it
• Who helped you to organize it
• And explain how you feel about it
You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes. You have 1 minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.
I’d like to talk about a retro movie night I organized on our dorm’s rooftop terrace right before my university graduation. It was held in late May, two weeks ahead of our commencement, when most of my classmates were swamped with thesis revisions and last-minute job applications, so I wanted to create a low-pressure chance for everyone to unwind. My roommate Luna, a veteran of the student union events team, helped me with the logistics: she sourced a portable projector, curated a snack spread with homemade lemonade and salted caramel popcorn, and three male classmates volunteered to haul folding chairs and string twinkling fairy lights along the terrace railing. Looking back, I feel overwhelmingly fulfilled—this wasn’t a lavish, over-scripted event, but an intimate, laid-back gathering where we laughed through Roman Holiday and took polaroid group photos that still sit on my desk now. It reminded me that the happiest moments often come from simple, heartfelt gestures with people you care about.
