Describe A music event that you didn't enjoy
Describe a music event that you didn't enjoy.
You should say:
• What it was
• Who you went with
• Why you decided to go there
• And explain why you didn't enjoy it
You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes. You have 1 minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.
The music event that left me with a thoroughly unpleasant experience was an underground indie music carnival held in a suburban wetland park two years ago. I went with three of my university classmates who are big fans of alternative rock. We decided to attend because they raved about a few post-punk bands on the lineup, and we snagged discounted early bird tickets months in advance. However, the entire event was a disaster from start to finish. For starters, the organization was shockingly disorganized: the first act was delayed by over three hours, and we were left baking in 35-degree heat with no access to free drinking water, leading to several attendees fainting from heat exhaustion. Worse still, there were constant technical glitches with the audio equipment; the bass and guitar riffs completely drowned out the vocalists, so we could barely make out any lyrics. On top of that, the venue was drastically overcrowded, as hundreds of people snuck in without tickets. I got jostled nonstop, and a stranger spilled an entire cup of beer all over my new dress. We left before our favorite band even came on stage, and I swore I’d never attend any unregulated small-scale music events again.
