Describe A person who makes plans a lot

Describe a person who makes plans a lot.

You should say:

• Who he/she is

• How you knew him/her

• What plans he/she makes

• And explain how you feel about this person

You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes. You have 1 minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

A person who is extremely meticulous about planning I’d like to introduce is Claire, my senior from the university debate club. I first got to know her during my freshman year orientation, when she delivered a speech to recruit new members for the club, and I was immediately impressed by her clear, logical speaking style. Claire’s planning covers every aspect of her life and work: she uses the time blocking method to arrange her daily study, part-time internship and club management tasks, she drafts quarterly training plans for the debate team with tailored practice tasks for each member, and she even has a 3-year career roadmap to land a job at a top international public relations firm after graduation. What surprises me most is that she always builds a small contingency buffer into every plan, so she never panics when unexpected issues pop up. I hold great admiration for her: her well-structured plans have helped the club win 3 provincial debate awards in the past two years, and she also taught me to prioritize tasks instead of rushing around aimlessly. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve become far more productive than I used to be.
